Description:CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF CHIEFS OF POLICE EVENT PLANNER (EVENT COORDINATOR) The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) is a national membership-based association located in Ottawa (Kanata) and is dedicated to the support and promotion of efficient law enforcement and the protection and security of the people of Canada. The Event Coordinator position is an integral part of our small and fast paced National Office team. The Event Coordinator works with, and under the direction of the Event Manager organizing and implementing various duties associated with the Annual Conference and many Committee conferences and projects throughout the year. Tasks include coordinating and providing support for various events including catering, contractors, equipment, event registration logistics, hospitality, travel and accommodation arrangements. Assists in creating, organizing, and distributing marketing materials, brochures and event related materials. May include liaising with print and translation services. This position requires good initiative, organizing and communication skills and attention to detail to plan, coordinate, and organize committee meetings, projects and small events.
