Platform, Application Server Developer, C#

Job location: our office in Ottawa, Canada

What you will do

  • Help transform RapidResponse into an extensible application platform by building APIs and scripting interfaces
  • Work with latest technologies to extend our SOA solution
  • Follow the best practices in software development - writing readable, loosely coupled code including unit and integration tests
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and the rest of the team in open-minded agile environment
  • What we are looking for

    You have a ton of deep technical exposure on a variety of projects. While you have an appreciation for the front-end user facing technology, your passion lies with building the bedrock on which the rest of the solution lies. You appreciate that people other than yourself will need to maintain the code you produce so you strive for elegance and simplicity in every line of code you write. You love the “thorny” problems and dig into them with passion and persistence, while always keeping top of mind maintainability, scalability and extensibility. You are transparent in the work you do and encourage discussion and welcome different points of view so that ultimately the best design is implemented.

    Required Skills:

  • Experience developing complex, enterprise grade web applications
  • Post-secondary education where software design is a core competency of the program .e.g. Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience with C#/ASP.NET MVC
  • Knowledge of GIT
  • Strong analytical, teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and object-oriented programming
  • Experience in designing and implementing clean, scalable APIs
  • Highly Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience with full stack development
  • Experience with RESTful web services
  • React JS, ES6, CSS3
  • Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins
