We are currently looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join our Fire, Safety & Industrial team in Cambridge, Ontario. SCOPE OF THE JOB:Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, the Outside Sales Representative will develop profitable sales with a focus on Safety and acquiring and developing new accounts. The Outside Sales Representative will ensure that our customers expectations are consistently met, maximizing our market share. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Generate sales reports each week and submit them to managementUtilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customersDevelop profitable incremental sales to new and existing accountsCollaborate with the management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company’s marketing presence in the territorySupport the inside Salespeople to foster excellent customer service, operational efficiency and account profitability.Ensure in-depth and current knowledge of customers, as well as strengths and weaknesses of competitorsDevelop and maintain long-term relationships with your customers and vendor representativesDevelop solutions to address customer issuesProvide accurate market intelligence to the Business Centre Manager and other members of the sales teamStay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growthREQUIREMENTS:Professional and courteous demeanorMinimum two (2) years of sales and industry experienceSafety Product knowledge would be an assetFire product knowledge would be an assetPatience and ability to tactfully handle customer negotiationsSelf-motivated and comfortable working with little to no supervisionExcellent communication and organizational skills with an attention to detailMust have a flair for selling and building relationships with individuals and organizationsGood knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is an asset Guillevin offers exciting and challenging careers as well as a competitive Benefits Program and Group RRSP.Guillevin ensures equality in the recruitment and selection process by making employment decisions based on qualifications, relevant experience, knowledge and capability, demonstrated skills and accomplishments.We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those under consideration will be contacted.The masculine gender is used solely to simplify the text.‍
