Agilus is currently seeking a Legal Assistant for our client based in Calgary.This position will play a key role in proving support to senior counsel, assisting with the day-to-day administration of the legal department’s operations, and ensuring that all non-legal responsibilities within the department are operating smoothly. In addition, this role is also responsible for document and matter administration, overseeing special projects and process improvements as required. Responsibilities:•Supporting the administrative needs of the legal team•Assist with corporate filings and annual returns•Processing and reviewing invoices•Coordinating the budget review process•Managing the department (matter) accrual process•Acting as system administrator for new programs•Coordinating legal reports, preparing litigation holds and opening file memosQualifications:•Minimum 5 years’ related corporate legal experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry•Minimum Graduate of an accredited post-secondary Legal Assistant/Paralegal program•Demonstrated organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills•Ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing scope of authority•Protecting confidential information and maintaining a professional demeanor is a must•Sharepoint and iManage administration experience•MS Office proficiency•Acceptable pre-employment background screening and references
