Position Summary

The following are requirements to work in Long Term Care, Assisted Living, or Provincially Designated Mental Health Facilities (Iris House & Seven Sisters) as outlined in the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) Order.

1.As of October 12, 2021 an employee must be fully vaccinated (7 days post second dose)
2.Between September 13-October 11, 2021, an employee must have 1 dose and follow preventive measures outlined in the order

This position qualifies for a Relocation Incentive
Care is provided using the Gentle Care Model. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of residents designed to meet their individual needs. Qualifications
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Valid Level C CPR ticket.
Good working knowledge of the English language.
  • Experience in gerontology.
  • Courses specific to dementia care from a recognized expert an asset.
  • MDS training.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Knowledge of other employee duties under your supervision.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
