This role reports to the Managing Director, Enterprise and Information Security Programs; within the Technology and Data Department. CPP Investments is seeking a highly motivated individual to partner with leaders from various departments (e.g. Compliance, Legal, HR, Finance, Procurement, Information Security, Risk, Technology, and Data) to develop and implement multi-year technology roadmaps that are delivered through a combination of large / small projects and continuous improvements (e.g. small enhancements). You will be accountable for project management, defining strategic enhancements through all phases of the project lifecycle, build, and delivery of various solutions.
Own the project outcome and deliver the agreed functional and technical success criteria; monitor progress against work plan and deliverables;
Identify and manage project/program priorities by successfully mitigating dependencies and competing priorities across related initiatives;
Create effective project reporting artifacts;
Partner with non-technology stakeholders to understand business processes and their associated access needs.
Escalate issues and risks, as appropriate, with a particular focus on implications;
Manage project financials and ensure appropriate fiscal control;
Follow the procedures that are part of CPP Investments' Project Management Methodology.
Project Management across various projects:Actively manage project execution to achieve defined and measurable outcomes.Identify project risks and actively resolve issues.Manage the budget and resources for the project in CPP Investments SystemsProvide regular updates to cross-functional Senior Management teams
Ensure that programs / projects address both business process needs, as well as align to CPP Investments' Technology & Data Strategy and standards

Undergraduate or advanced degree;
7+ years' experience in a related role(s) - preference for experience within the investment industry
Experience in at least one of the following areas: Compliance, Legal, HR, Finance, Procurement, Information Security, Risk; with deep understanding of business processes/functions supporting these areas
Demonstrated ability to learn a functional area quickly and be able to drive process improvements, technology strategy, and stakeholder alignment.
Ability to develop strong relationships and establish creditability with a diverse set of stakeholders (e.g. IT and non-IT senior leaders, developers, process owners, etc.)
In depth knowledge of project management methodology (PMI certification)
Proven process development skills and solid understanding of project life cycle and the capability to apply best practices knowledge to unique and dynamic situations
A strong curiosity and desire to improve how work gets done, including an ability to proactively identify opportunities where technology can drive business outcomes
Ability to perform quick assessments to identify potential risks and issues; ability to assess project risks at a detailed level;
Excellent time management and prioritization skills – ability to coordinate many tasks simultaneously without losing focus on the priority; ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines
Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to tailor the key messages to various stakeholders including senior executives

Experience leading cross-functional teams
Ability to manage projects through full system development lifecycle
Experience in developing and communicating technology strategies and roadmaps with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Proven ability to influence and manage within an indirect reporting structure
