Position Highlights

We currently have and exciting Relief Full Time opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician at St. Paul's Hospital & Mount Saint Joseph Hospital. Please note that work sites may include UBCH and GFS.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Processing medication orders verified by a pharmacist
  • Preparing, processing, dispensing and compounding medications including intravenous medications
  • Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies
  • Utilizing the latest automation technology in the medication distribution system
  • You may also have the chance to work in specialty-areas, be involved in pharmacy projects, and to use your critical thinking skills to help develop quality assurance processes.

    We want a forward-thinking, pleasant person with an eye for detail. You are driven and have exceptional self-motivation skills enabling you to thrive independently in your position.

    You will take a conscientious, hands-on approach to deliver high quality and precise work. A methodical approach is essential, to complete routine day to day tasks, and manage changing priorities, and timelines. You love taking on difficult challenges and finding creative solutions. You think on your feet. You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly. When things change you know how to adapt and contribute to the change process.

  • Completion of Pharmacy Technician Program
  • Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
