Position Summary

:

A Restaurant Experience (REX) Planner will be responsible for managing the end-to-end order experience for their portfolio of restaurants. They will build strong relationships focused on providing excellent customer service and back room management while maintaining a high accuracy forecast and all associated activities. A REX Planner will have ownership and responsibility to reduce operational impacts such as late adds and order adjustments, and support on team and cross functional projects to drive business initiative. A REX Planner creates the foundation of trust with our customer that enables & supports further MB innovation. A REX Planner will report into a REX Team Lead.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Demand Planning and Proposal Management

  • Manage customer relationship for restaurant portfolio and create positive end to end order experience.
  • Manage the demand and supply planning at a Menu item level for all restaurants within your portfolio
  • Forecast review based on reporting
  • Forecast review based on restaurant communication
  • Forecast review based on promotional activity & local events
  • Customize restaurant safely levels and product yields
  • Manage the demand and supply planning for all non-recipe items for all restaurants within your portfolio
  • Ensure all planning models, forecasts, ordering parameters are managed to generate consistently accurate order proposals
  • Manage all dynamic information for the restaurant pertaining to both restaurant parameters and specific Menu Item parameters to ensure all quantities proposed assure supply while being mindful of over stock
  • Ensure checks and controls on data integrity and performance are maintained and where needed addressed and fixed.
  • Effectively plan for assigned area, key events and seasonality profiles, product launches, New restaurant locations, core trade off, peak and summer periods.
  • Ensure tickets, customer communication is responded to appropriately within SLA set timelines
  • Monitor and Process Restaurant Credits
  • Continuous improvement across all defined KPI's
  • Minimize operational impact through data driven proposals and restaurant education reducing special deliveries

  • Department Support

  • Active participation in cross functional promotional meetings with Supply Chain o ensure fluid communication and end to end support.
  • Support the Quality team through National analysis of early warning signals driven through the Quality Systems Dashboard
  • Support operations through accurate forecasts and proposals that contributing to reduced costs in labour and transportation planning
  • Support the onboarding on new restaurants or ownership changes in all communication systems and tools (Sales Force / KOMPASS / MBSync)

  • Process Optimization

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, tools and the process that support the REX functions and the system
  • Have ownership on opportunities for improvement and participate in projects focused on enhancements and progress
  • Ensure the operations follow all Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and Good Warehouse Practices (GWP)/Good Drivers Practices (GDP) for transport rules and regulations.

  • Position Requirements

    Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bilingual (English / French) written and spoken
  • Min 2 years' experience with a replenishment/forecasting process
  • Min 2 years in a customer facing role (Customer Service, Field Service)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to develop good cross functional, and collaborative working relationships
  • Proficient knowledge of JDE, JDA, Cognos; Power BI would be an asset
  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

  • Work Environment:

    This position will be based in our corporate Canadian Head Office located in Mississauga. Business casual attire is our dress code. In a 40-hour per week work schedule, this role generally works days from Monday through to Friday. Occasional weekend work (1 day) rotation involves one day every three weeks. Shift timings and scheduled days of work may be subject to change based on business requirements.
