Partnering with the Chief People Officer, the broader Talent team, and our Canadian DEI Committee, the Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will be pivotal in us achieving our goals across the country, acting as a key contributor to our DEI strategy and helping to drive impactful and relevant inclusion-focused initiatives. This is a hands-on role that combines strategy and execution; the incumbent will be responsible for providing recommendations, scaling, and partnering to implement our DEI-related initiatives. Implementation of initiatives will be achieved in partnership with our Canadian Talent team, Canadian DEI Committee, and our formal Employee Resource Groups as applicable.

Job Responsibilities

DEI Leadership

  • As subject lead, bring best practices and progressive solutions forward to inform our DEI strategy and roadmaps leading us to equitable representation, a culture of recognition and belonging, broader community impact, andequityandfairnessinthe work we do for our clients
  • Contribute as a core member of the Canadian DEI Committee, helping to evolve and make meaningful progress against our People, Work, and Community pillar strategies and tactics
  • Lead and/or contribute to the implementation ofplansandprogramsthatwill enable us to achieve our DEI goals, providing context and guidance so that the objectives and activities of the Talent team, our DEI Committee, and our Employee Resource Groups are in alignment
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer (CPO) and broader Talent team to ensure that our people policies and initiatives across the breadth of the talent lifecycle are rooted in inclusivity and alignto our cultural valuesandDEI goals
  • Collaborate with the CPO and our internal Marketing team to develop a communication and engagement strategy, leveraging new or existing communication platforms, in order to promote and socialize our unique value proposition relative to DEI
  • Cultivateacommunityof DEIchampionsthrough our ERGs and volunteer committees in order to socialize and drive our DEI goals
  • Continue to evolve and build our online employee community "The Neighbourhood" through amplification and support
  • Support existing and new Employee Resource Groups in building their group charters, defining objectives, and establishing rolling 12-month goals and activities
  • Learning & Development

    ·Review current learning programs to ensure explicit linkage and constructs grounded in DEI, so that leaders and employees learn to value diversity and understand its critical connection to high performance and success.

    ·In conjunction with the Learning and Development (L&D) and Talent teams, develop learning paths and other change management initiatives that enable managers and leaders to proactively manage diversity and inclusion effectively and in alignment with our values

    ·Track and evaluate success of training interventions relative to DEI

    Metrics & Analytics

  • Support the definition and alignment of DEI metrics and KPIs with specific emphasis on the hiring, development, support, advancement, andretention of equity-seeking groups as defined by global and local priorities
  • Collaborating with our SVP, Talent Analytics (based in the US), define and implement an infrastructure to allow us to leverage available internal and external benchmarking data used to input into our DEI KPIs, respecting Canadian legislativerequirements
  • Measure and track progress against DEI benchmarks, trends, and goals, providing recommendations as appropriate for the development of policies and programs to deliver against our goals of inclusion and belonging
  • Provide input into methodologies which ensure that all leaders are held accountable for drivingappropriatelydiverse andinclusiveworkcultures
  • Desired Skills & Experience


    ·An established DEI professional with experience within dynamic, constantly evolving professional services environments; media,technology,creative,orcommunicationsenvironments a plus

    ·Proven experience in designing and delivering diversity and inclusion approaches which create shared purpose and drive tangible change in an organization

    ·A solid understanding of diversity and inclusion legislation and considerations in Canada, and experience ofintegratingthatintopeopleandorganisationpolicyframeworks.

    ·Demonstrableexperienceofcreatinganinclusiveculturewhereallindividualsfeelsupported toworkattheirbest.
