Job Description Summary Coordinator, Security Operations reports directly to the Security Manger and assists Manger with all Security and Life Safety matters including but not limited to communication, coordination, creating policies, and coaching staff.

Job Description

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Coordinate access with all Security vendors, and operations vendor on request.
  • Process purchase orders for Security related vendors, operations vendors upon request
  • Assist direct manager with project management of Security contracts, building improvement and client construction projects as required.
  • Liaise with client, construction and operational vendors, to coordinate access scheduling
  • Draft/Amend Security protocols and procedures when required
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to client and senior management.
  • Liaise with tenants for Security issues/maintenance concerns.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to all Security personnel.
  • Communicate with senior level management when required.
  • Perform JHSC inspections; liaise with third party vendor to assess concerns, process and forward to senior management and risk management.
  • Assist manager as required when needed.
  • Provide site support as needed in emergent situations. (Operate fire panel during evac situations including liaise with Fire Dept emergency services)
  • Assist Manger with quarterly update of Crisis response plan, Fire safety plan, Pandemic plan and Post orders.

    This job operates in a professional commercial Office Tower property environment. This role is generally located in the commercial/office property and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and some times required to assist in emergencies i.i. CPR, trespass, and arrest.


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others and exchange accurate information; operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. Some times require standing for extended hours and some times required to lift up to 50 pounds (office equipment).

    Other tasks given by the Manager on day to day basis.
