    Our Managers demonstrate a high level of technical ability, industry knowledge and skills, specifically in the areas of strategy and operations in Health Care and Public Sectors.

    You will get to work on a variety of projects such as:

    • Strategy formulation and implementation planning;
    • Organizational assessments/design/transformation;
    • Program assessment & evaluation;
    • Restructuring and change management;
    • Organizational & individual performance assessment;
    • Project execution – from conception through to implementation and closeout.

    You are ambitious, enthusiastic and adaptable with the ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced and team-based environment.

    You have solid working experience and understanding of the processes within the public and health care sectors.

    You are also confident, ambitious and have the ability to wear multiple hats and adapt to changing needs and environments while working independently.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the life and culture of Optimus SBR
    • Lead and manage client projects from planning and administration which includes setting the tone for projects internally with staff and externally with clients, developing project plans, analysis frameworks client communications, and delivering client briefings and presentations
    • Identify project risks and issues, and prepare mitigation plans
    • Lead and manage project teams to deliver projects on time and on budget while growing and supporting staff
    • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching and mentoring to project teams
    • Act as a career manager and support employees through Optimus SBR's Career Development Program (CDP)
    • Build and maintain client business relationships, including identifying and pursuing engagements with new and existing clients, leading proposal development, and building new relationships in the sector

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 7-10 years relevant working experience in public, government or health care sector
    • Experience as an external consultant in the Public Sector, Health Care, or Not-for-Profit/Public Sector
    • Self directed, with the passion and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
    • Innovative and dynamic; brings an entrepreneurial spirit to our business
    • Results-oriented individual with the ability to meet aggressive timelines
    • Strong business development acumen and execution
    • Strong work ethic and someone who is energetic, enthusiastic and committed to developing their career
    • engaging in strategic discussions with stakeholders at the C-level executive and Board level

    Required Education: Related university degree in a business, health care, or public policy related field

    Preferred Education: Postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA, MPA or MPP) or additional professional (e.g., CPA, P.Eng, or R.N) or other designation (e.g., CPA, PMP, Lean, or PROSCI) strongly preferred
