Responsibilities

  • Carry out premove inspections on Light rail vehicles
  • Control and operate the light rail vehicles in specified zones, with respect to operation and quality procedures
  • Assist and facilitate train moves by acting as watch person, and cranking the switches in the yard
  • Participate in the rescue operations of the vehicle, in case of accident or Major failures
  • Attend regular team briefings
  • Report accidents/incidents
  • Adhere to Company procedures especially in relation to Quality and Health & Safety
  • Prepare and deliver requested reports as and when required
  • Participate in train maintenance activities, such as coupling /decoupling trains, following the company procedure
  • Assist with manual train move by operating rail car movers or acting as watchperson.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Assist maintenance team in repairing and troubleshooting the train whenever required
  • Assist the maintenace activities in the yard and guideways, such as snow cleaning
  • Could be trained in additional scope of work during the life of the contract
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.
  • 1 to 2 years' experience as technical experience
  • Educational background in mechanical, electrical or electromechanical
  • Knowledge of Rail / Vehicle environment is preferable
  • Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards
