As Long-Term Care Support you will work one-on-one with residents within a LTC environment.

You will play an integral part in the overall operation of the healthcare team as a friendly companion for the resident.

Your responsibilities will ultimately depend on your client's health and needs.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day services and support to individual residents to offer a warm, safe environment, ensuring comfort and welfare needs are met as outlined by the client.
  • Act as a support system for nursing staff to help prevent potential behaviour issues from escalating.
  • Document all incidents reported by nursing staff and maintain the resident's activity log. (May vary from location to location).
  • Working cooperatively with staff, volunteers, service providers and other stakeholders to meet resident and family needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with individuals and clients, modelling effective/efficient behaviour and demonstrating acceptable professional behaviour.
  • Reporting to the Director of Care and taking direction from various members of the Registered nursing team, the CCAs.
*Titan's LTC Support does not aid with activities of daily living such as brushing teeth, bathing, dressing, getting to the toilet, changing disposable garments, etc. If the resident is in a wheelchair and needs to go to an outside appointment the LTC health care staff will transfer the resident to the vehicle.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Dynamic and team oriented.
  • Delivering topclass service to our customers through effective communication and ability to build and foster relationships.
  • Proactive and curious with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles.
  • 1+ years of patient watch is considered an asset.
  • Driver License & vehicle is considered an asset.
