Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a
Accounts Receivable Supervisor for our Vancouver District, located in
Coquitlam, BC.


As an
Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounts receivable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer invoices and payments.

You will also be responsible for managing a team of collectors and ensuring that all departmental goals are met.

Your success within the role is reliant on an ambitious work ethic, excellent communication and the ability to lead your team.

The key to Waste Connections' continued growth and success is sourcing, developing, and promoting individuals who meet these expectations.


Pay:
$65,000/year


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee daily operations of the accounts receivable department
  • Manage a team of collectors
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer invoices and payments
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions
  • Monitor customer accounts for nonpayment and delayed payment
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of the accounts receivable process
  • Communicate with customers regarding payment status and resolve any billing issues or disputes
  • Prepare and present reports on departmental performance to management
  • Assist with monthend close activities as needed

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related field
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is preferred
