Our Parks, Recreation, Culture and Facilities Department is currently looking for energetic and creative Program Leaders with experience working with youth for various facilities and programs.


Program Leaders will have leadership responsibility for planning, implementing and leading a variety of social, cultural, sport, and general interest activities for youth ages Program Leaders will provide guidance to volunteers on their program duties and will be responsible for safe and proper use of equipment and facilities.

Duties are performed within established guidelines but some independent action and initiative is exercised in leading and instructing assigned programs.

Program Leaders will be responsible for sharing their passion and expertise providing instruction to youth on a variety of activities, sports and ability levels.

The City offers a CUPE hourly rate for Program Leaders of $22.98-$26.87 plus 12% in lieu of benefits.

Applicants under consideration may be required to undergo a police security clearance evaluation with vulnerable sector check (with no adverse reports).

The City has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.
