Function background/context:


The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function within Independent Risk Management is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the principles articulated in Citi's Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and for the performance of specific enterprise-level risk management programs and processes that span the organization, the lines of defence and risk categories.

These programs and processes include risk identification, risk appetite and limits, risk frameworks and policy, enterprise risk analytics, new activity risk management, strategic risk management, Digital and Climate Risk assets and Governance & CAO pillar.

The Head of ERM also oversee entire Risk Transformation org. and reports directly to the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer (CRO).


Job Purpose:

Senior position within the ERM CAO team, this role will report to the ERM CAO. In this capacity it is a critical leadership position in the whole ERM team and will be responsible for partnering with ERM team leads to drive cross functional organization productivity (incl. facilitate strategic investments) to ensure alignment with ERM's internal and external commitments. This role will be also directly responsible for the site leadership in Toronto/Mississauga across ERM.


Key Responsibilities:


  • This role works with the ERM as well as central IRM-CAO org. and will have contact with all the key stakeholders across ERM Core and Risk Transformation pillars
  • The role will be responsible for driving productivity discussions and creating alignment/synergies with Risk Transformation/Consent Order, and Business Simplification initiatives as they relate to the internal and external resourcing and new roles for processes owned and performed by ERM.
  • Will be responsible for the productivity review including evaluating effectiveness of internal and external resourcing within teams, general alignment of roles within ERM verticals and crossERM budget.
  • Work with ERM CAO across ERM and Risk Transformation on budget, headcount, planning, preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reviews
  • Built out and integrate Toronto CSC location and personnel
  • Drive location strategy and productivity at Toronto CSC including review of talent and C levels
  • Partner closely with Citi Reality Services (CRS), Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI), Group Public Affairs (GPA), Compliance, Legal and Human Resources (HR) in the execution of Strategic priorities to optimize employee experience at the site
  • Maintain site calendar, activity tracker and site action plan such as the Continuity of Business (CoB) plan
  • Talent: acquire, develop, and retain diverse talent pool that has endtoend process, business and product knowledge as well as analytical skills to drive process excellence at the site
  • Partner with HR on promoting various employee initiatives e.g. reviews VOE results; creates working committees to address people issues and sponsors diversity networks and VOE committees at a site
  • Builds and manages relationships with key stakeholders, organizations and business heads
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made

Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in Financial Services, Strategy or relevant CAO/COO, Finance, Front Office/Business, or Management Consulting roles
  • Proven analytical, quantitative, and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Able to work through a large, complex matrix organization; demonstrates a flexible approach and resilience to setbacks
  • Excellent planning and task management skills; as well as strong focus on daytoday execution with high attention to critical details
  • Organizationally savvy; understands systems, management processes, knows where to go for information and how to interpret
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals, and drive results
  • Excellent problemsolving abilities and organizational / time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives
  • Highly organized and detail oriented. Able to create support across a wide range of stakeholders through welldeveloped interpersonal and influencing capabilities
  • Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries; willing to break down business and/or functional silos to optimize results
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills; proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel

Education:


  • Undergraduate degree required. Master's degree preferred
