We are currently hiring a
Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team The Marketing Manager works closely with the outside Marketing Agencies, Marketing Project Manager, Revenue Management and Sales teams to maximize all marketing strategies and initiatives.

As the brand ambassador, the Marketing Manager forms strong relationships with the corporate marketing teams of SHG franchise brands (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Accor, IHG, etc.) to ensure these properties are at the forefront of external brand campaigns while utilizing marketing and promotional tools provided by brand to the hotels.

The Marketing Manager ensures marketing and communications performance are optimized across all digital channels.

The Marketing Manager brings SHG's Corporate Culture to life through internal campaigns and effectively communicating and driving engagement for SHG's Corporate Impact Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with outside Marketing Agency, Ecommerce Agency, Project Manager, Marketing and Third Parties to ensure brand consistency (especially franchised hotels) and optimization on web, social assets and tactical campaigns.
  • Conceptualize and create high quality graphic design assets for digital, social platforms and print.
  • Manage "brand" communication for franchise hotels be the spokesperson for branded hotel offers, updates, etc. and communicate this information effectively.
  • Manage Marketing Budget (for DTHC, individual hotels and SHG) keep marketing budget on track and reconciled.
  • Capture content for hotels when possible and where applicable, for example photos or videos to be used for social media.
  • Drive organizational and customer engagement and passion for the SHG brand, strategy, and future initiatives.
  • Champion the SHG internal team portal and be an active participant in it's relaunch.
  • Actively participate in planning/logistics, promotion and communications for the Silver Lining program and associated events/initiatives, including internal communications.
  • Collaborate with hotels and home office to produce and distribute the SHG newsletter.
  • Identify new content opportunities, source information to support content development, coordinate and align all content to deliver a cohesive and compelling story across all communication channels.
  • Actively participate in planning/logistics, promotion, and communications for the Silver Lining (internal CSR) program and associated events/initiatives, including internal communications.
  • Manage and collaborate with established partners and agencies as needed.

What We are Looking for...

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related discipline.
  • Experience: 3+ years in an Advertising or PR agency or Marketing / Communications role. Hospitalityrelated experience is an asset).
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns and facilitating their successful execution.
  • A solid understanding of branding, communications, marketing principles and best practices.
  • Good design sense and ability to provide thoughtful, constructive feedback on creative materials.
  • System/processminded ability to embrace/adapt tools to develop efficient workflows and processes that improve quality and efficiency.
  • Understanding of the capabilities of software used by our Creative Team (ex: Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier, etc.) and Canva.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to meet exacting standards and tight deadlines.
  • Creatively minded and quick to recognize marketing opportunities within our ongoing business activities.
  • An effective problemsolver with the ability to think both analytically and creatively to drive objectives and overcome obstacles effectively.
  • Experienced in developing and implementing internal and external strategic communication plans/campaigns and corporate communications initiatives to support brand activities and reputation.
