  • Offering sincere and friendly hospitality to everyone.
  • Greet and register guests promptly and efficiently.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service.
  • Close out guest accounts upon completion of stay.
  • Taking and/or modifying reservations.
  • Operating according to the Marriott brand high standards of quality.
  • Use a positive and clear speaking voice.
  • Listen to and understand requests.
  • Respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attractions.
  • Handle cash, make change and balance an assigned house bank.
  • Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using the computer.
  • Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear communication.
  • Input messages into the computer.
  • Retrieve messages and communicate the content to the guest.
  • Retrieve mail, small packages and facsimiles for customers as requested.
  • Close guest accounts at time of check out and ascertain satisfaction.
  • In the event of dissatisfaction, negotiate compromise, which may include authorizing revenue allowances.
  • Field guest complaints, conducting thorough research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate results.
  • Listen and extend assistance to resolve problems such as price conflicts, insufficient heating or air conditioning, etc.
  • Remain calm and alert especially during emergency situations and heavy hotel activity.
  • Plan and implement detailed steps by using experienced judgment and discretion.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Weekends & Holidays are required due the nature of the hotel industry.

Minimum Qualifications and Expectations:

  • Must be exceptional with guest interaction and guest service.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment being able to effectively deal with guest issues with patience and efficiently.
  • Must be a team player willing to assist coworkers with job duties at all times.
  • Ability to communicate in English. Professional appearance and behavior is a must.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions.
  • Must have previous front desk experience.
  • Must be exceptional with guest service.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to work shift work and weekends.
  • Must be in Saskatoon.

From $14.69 per hour
