About the position:

We are seeking an Information Technology Support Technician who is responsible for providing direct face-to-face world class end user support experience with an emphasis on quality resolutions.


Duties include:

setting up and deploying equipment for employee use; performing or ensuring proper installation and upgrade of operating systems, or appropriate software; identifying potential escalations and proactively alerting management as needed; providing troubleshooting and support for mobile devices, laptops, desk phones and printers; tracking, escalating, following up and resolving system issues using a helpdesk ticketing system; supporting conference room technology including projectors, TV's, AV equipment, etc.


Qualifications and Competencies:


  • College or other nonuniversity certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, network drives, etc.
  • Experience with cloud environment.
  • Experience setting up equipment for employee use.
  • Experience with computer software including Microsoft Office 365 is required.
  • Experience with virtualization software/solutions (e.g. Citrix)
  • Strong problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service.
  • Strong ability to communicate with various stakeholders and maintain confidentiality on all sensitive matters.
  • Must have a courteous, friendly, flexible, and selfstarting attitude.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fastpaced customer service environment.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills are also necessary.
  • A valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle access.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID19 and are able to provide proof on immunization.
Terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with ONA Allied Collective Agreement.


Salary range:
$24.47 per hour

- $29.51 per hour (70 hours in a two-week period). OMERS pension and a comprehensive Health and Dental benefits package.
