Responsibilities:

Ultra Filtration System

To operate, and maintain all pumps, pneumatic valves, manual valves that aid the system operation.
Use independent judgment and conduct cleaning cycles to maintain acceptable permeate flow rates. Maintain the cleanliness of the systems filter press.
To calibrate and maintain all flow meters, turbidity meters, gauges, and pH sensors.
Generate a predictive maintenance model regarding membrane performance changes (total gallons vs. turbidity vs. cleaning frequency).
Maintain level quantities of all chemicals required (acid, caustic, Antifoam, CaCl, bleach etc).
Maintain compliance with the City of Toronto sanitary bylaws

Perform daily tests

Zinc, % solids etc.

Evaporator

Ensure continuous operation of all evaporators.
Maintain the rate of 40 totes/ week.
Coordinate the disposal of the concentrate.

RO System

Ensure the continuous operation of the RO system and its associated pumps, meters, and gauges
Ensure system maintains acceptable pH and conductivity levels
Perform biweekly sanitization of the system and semiannual cleaning.
Maintain level quantities of all feed chemicals

Air Stripper

Maintain and ensure the operation of the system and its associated pumps, valves, level sensors, pH meters, pressure gauges and temperature gauges.
Maintain level quantities of all feed chemicals
Maintain compliance with the City of Toronto sanitary bylaws

Housekeeping

Assume ownership with regards to housekeeping for all waste water and waste treatment areas. All floors, walls, lights, and operating equipment to be clean and in "audit ready" state.
Conduct daily cleanup routines of designated work areas.

Occupational Requirements

Qualifications / Certifications:

Two years of related work experience required.
High School Graduate minimum requirement.
Must be able to work overtime, when necessary.
Able to work with mínimal or no supervision.
Complete projects timely and efficiently.

Working Conditions:

Possibility of working with unpleasant odours.
Working in various temperature changes.
Possibility of working under conditions of high noise levels.
Constant interaction with a variety of chemicals and chemical products.
Regular work with moving machinery increases potential hazards.
