Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH), located in Trail, B.C., has an immediate permanent, full-time Staff Anesthesia Assistant opening.Schedule is Monday through Friday 06:00 to 14:00 hours.

KBRH offers core specialist physician services including 24-hour Emergency and Trauma Services, Level 2 Laboratory, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Acute and Obstetrical Care, Orthopedics, Plastics, Urology, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Chemotherapy and advanced diagnostic services.
KBRH is the regional base for the 24-hour High Acuity Response Team (H.A.R.T.) consisting of dedicated critical care transport nurses, and as required, respiratory therapists, who respond to support rural and remote clinicians in the transport and management of critically ill and injured patients.
KBRH is a busy, modern and well-resourced referral centre. Surgical services include General, Orthopedic, OB/Gyn, ENT, Plastics, and Urology. Labour Analgesia service provides for approximately 300 deliveries per year, an epidural rate of 15%. Anesthesia Consultation Clinic and Acute Pain Management in place.Staff Anesthesia Assistants play a crucial part in performing technical duties related to anesthesia such as testing, preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies.
Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you make a substantial contribution to assisting Anesthesiologists with the induction, maintenance and recovery phases of anesthesia.
