The Manual / Laminated Glass Cutter reports directly to the Production Supervisor of Woodbridge Glass Distribution.

He/she is responsible for the orders being done on time and correct, the safety of the facility and any other duties as required.

SHIFT AVAILABLE

Days - Monday to Friday: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for cutting glass and dropping glass sheets onto the cutting table from the free fall. The breakout of glass cut by the cutting machine or in manual cutting
Able to read labels and diagrams.
Correctly label cut glass and move glass onto carts from the cutting table
Clean work area and equipment
Various other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to work in a safe manner with little supervision
Ability to use a tape measure, and has glass knowledge
Must be able to work with others. WGD is a teamwork environment. Most tasks involve more than one person
Understanding of the English language
Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
2+ years Experience working with glass cutting in a plant/manufacturing environment
Knowledge and skills with technology and computers
Comfortable using glass cutting software ( A and W)
Able to cut glass manually
Able to cut GPW
Able to cut Lamented manually and by machine.
Able to cut and separate Laminated glass without chips
Able to cut patter glass manually
