Experience Required/Mandatory Skills

  • Completion of a 4 year postsecondary Computer Science or Engineering degree or Computer Engineering/System Technology or Management Information Systems 2 year diploma
  • A minimum of 7 years of hands on experience working with IS systems
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands on experience working with Oracle/MS SQL Server Administration or Oracle Ebusiness Application Administration
  • Demonstrated experience with OBIEE concepts and toolset.
  • Computer related certifications such as Microsoft or Oracle DBA certifications
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) of Oracle/SQL Server RDBMS systems using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • In depth knowledge of tools used for administering Oracle/SQL Server RDBMS systems, and/or Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Oracle E-Business Application Implementations (Toad for Oracle/SQL Server, Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control, OpenText Exceed etc.)
  • Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to organize and plan work independently
