    Description

    Park Paving Ltd. has been a key player in the road construction industry of Edmonton for nearly five decades, and we are on the lookout for three skilled underground pipelayers to join our Civil Underground Division for the upcoming construction season. This role is full-time and offers competitive pay along with benefits.

    The main responsibilities and requirements for this position include:

    • Sound knowledge of pipe lasers and transits
    • Understanding of proper pipe securement and bedding placement
    • Ability to adapt work plans according to ground conditions
    • Knowledge and application of various shoring methods and safe excavation practices
    • Familiarity with City specifications for the assigned tasks
    • Setting core elevations on structures
    • Readiness to assist in different labor activities like rigging, operating small equipment, and installing precast structures
    • Basic equipment maintenance within the work scope

    Requirements:

    • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
    • Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
    • Readiness to work around live sanitary and storm sewers
    • Availability for Monday-Friday work and potential overtime/weekend shifts when required
    • Ground Disturbance 201 Standard training (Alberta) is preferred
    • Confined Space Monitor/Entry training is an advantage

    Compensation Range: $32 - $38
