Agricorp is looking for aFinance Manager to join our Corporate Services division.
This opportunity is for a collaborative team-oriented individual who has advanced financial and accounting knowledge and ability, critical thinking skills and a passion for leadership.
The Role:
The Finance Manager, Operations leads a team of eight individuals and is accountable for daily cash operations, budgeting and forecasting, government remittances, payroll, accounting policy, financial systems administration, and projects.
In this role, you will:
- Provide leadership, coaching and development to Finance team
- Plan and organize departmental workload and use management skills to effectively and efficiently prioritize and manage competing deliverables
- Ensure smooth daytoday operations, resolving any issues impacting cashflow, customer accounts or system performance
- Lead in the preparation and support of quarterly and annual Budget and forecast process for a $40M administrative budget across 7 divisions
- Lead monthly variance analysis and follow up with divisional leads to inform senior management of root causes and future impacts
- Develop accounting policies and models through researching, understanding and implementing accounting standards
- Document and maintain procedures and accounting conclusions for all transactional processes in accordance with program agreements and legislation and accounting requirements
- Initiate change based on experience, expertise and knowledge of industryleading practices and trends
- Provide analysis to management, as required, to facilitate accurate decision making
- Provide strategic advice and counsel to the Controller and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on all financerelated matters
- Represent and/or lead finance efforts for adhoc initiatives and projects
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with appropriate levels of personnel across Agricorp and its partners, including the Senior Management Team (SMT), management and nonmanagement staff

$99,994 - $117,640

Qualifications:
- University degree in business, accounting, or equivalent
- CPA designation required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in managing financial information and/or processes in a multifaceted, complex environment
- Minimum 35 years' supervisory and leadership experience providing direction, coaching, performance management and development
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) and auditing standards, an asset
- Experience with process and internal controls improvements, an asset
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics GP and Power BI, an asset
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
