Production Technician
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Technician to join our team.
As a Production Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process, contributing to the creation of high-quality products that adhere to stringent regulatory guidelines.
Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including 3D printing, silicone injection, assembly, packaging, quality inspection, and process documentation.
You will work within a collaborative environment and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge equipment and technologies.Location:
Toronto, Canada
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement production quality initiatives across work cells.
- Drive continuous improvement by investigating and implementing design and process revisions to enhance capacity, throughput, quality, costeffectiveness, and safety.
- Manage purchasing, incoming inspections, inventory tracking, and maintenance for the manufacturing facility.
- Recommend and implement process and technical design changes to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain Production work instructions and Device History Records in compliance with ISO 13485 standards.
- Monitor and analyze production data to generate monthly KPIs and drive datadriven decisions.
- Provide technical support to the Production department for troubleshooting and resolving technical constraints.
- Design and develop jigs and fixtures to improve assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely achievement of product launch, production, and quality milestones.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and handson skills.
- Previous experience in medical device production and manufacturing process development.
- Proficiency in Solidworks or other CAD software.
- Familiarity with 3D printing and/or silicone injection methods is advantageous.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.
- Highly motivated, selfmanaged team player with adaptability and multitasking capabilities.
Education and Experience:
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of two years of manufacturing experience.
- Previous exposure to medical device or regulated environments is preferred.
- Some experience in manufacturing engineering, including designing assembly jigs and fixtures and workflow layouts.
- Enthusiasm for handson work and a sense of accomplishment from building and creating.
- Strong attention to detail, dedication to producing highquality work, and disciplined work ethic.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
- Comfortable working in a highstress and dynamic work environment.
- Ability to lift moderate weights as required.
