Description

As a
Sales Representative within PPG's Protect Marine Coatings business, you will oversee the growth, development and success of your territory.

You will focus on maintaining relationships and growth within existing customers and establishing new accounts through your strategic sales business plan within Edmonton/Northern Alberta/Northeastern British Columbia.

You will handle customer complaints quickly and identify appropriate solutions as well as respond to customers promptly. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve a specified sales and net contribution within the market by selling PPG Coatings products across all major segments and distribution channels with a focus the Edmonton/Northern Alberta/Northeastern British Columbia.
Open and service new and current customer accounts with the territory.
Analyze territory performance reports and develop strategic sales territory business plans.
Maintain an understanding of the market, customers, competition and developments within a specialized segment to use sales opportunities.
Work with PPG credit department to manage customer debt.

Qualifications

High School Diploma is required with 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in Protective Coatings industry.
Proven ability to speak persuasively to gain a consensus from others.
Calculate discounts and profit associated with selling price; to calculate commissions associated with territory performance; to take measurements and calculate surface area associated with making product volume estimates.
Understand product data sheets, material safety data sheets, scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
Ability to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and write technical reports to communicate the information.

You must live and travel within the territory during the week.
