MacNeill Edmundson Professional Corporation is seeking a skilled bookkeeping professional to join our team.

This position will focus primarily on day-to-day bookkeeping support for a large client while also completing work for other clients.


Key Requirements and Responsibilities:


  • Data entry
  • Processing payroll
  • Processing GST/HST returns
  • WSIB and EHT forms
  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Performing month end closings
  • Performing CAD/USD bank reconciliations
  • Posting journal entries
  • Maintaining and balancing general ledgers
  • Preparing financial reports
  • Completing invoices, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition

Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Diploma/certificate in bookkeeping or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft platforms, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Other software knowledge is considered an asset, especially CaseWare, TaxPrep, and CCH iFirm
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to develop strong and effective working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently or in a teambased setting

The approximately 30 staff members of MacNeill Edmundson Professional Corporation have provided bookkeeping, accounting, assurance, taxation, and management services to small to medium-size businesses throughout Southwestern Ontario for over 40 years.

Our accounting and tax services range from the preparation of compliance reports and tax returns to sophisticated business reorganizations and succession planning.

Our management services include the preparation of business plans, financing proposals, business valuations, computer system analysis and accounting software installations.

We were established by partners with professional roots in a national accounting firm, with the objective of offering the high level of expertise of a national firm with the more personalize approach of a smaller, local firm:
