We're looking for a Communications Advisor I to join our growing team


Reporting to the Communications Manager for the direct-to-customer brands, the Communications Advisor 1 is responsible for supporting the belairdirect national Communications team in planning and implementing internal and external communications strategies and activities.

What you'll do here:


  • Supporting the communications team on a wide range of programs and initiatives.
  • Drafting, editing and proofreading content to support the directtoconsumer brand reputation, strategic priorities and business initiatives including: intranet articles, website content, presentations, speeches, and newsletters.
  • Assists with the development of creative graphics and video editing. Showcasing that natural storytelling ability across different communication channels and mediums.
  • Participate in event planning and coordination (e.g., employees and managers townhalls)
  • Responds to requests from internal or external customers related to communication initiatives. Oversee production and distribution of communication materials.
  • Conduct research to support team decisionmaking.
  • Builds strong, collaborative working relationships with colleagues.
  • Use your stellar writing skills to create compelling and engaging communications.

What you bring to the table:

  • University degree in a Communications-related field
  • Entry level to 3 years of communications experience either within a public relations/marketing agency or corporate environment
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written) and strong writing skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office software suite
  • Knowledge of the tools in the Adobe Creative software suite, especially Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong attention to detail you can spot a typo a mile away
  • Able to manage tight deadlines
  • Takes initiative, is flexible and adapts easily to change
  • Committed to delivering high standards of client service
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills to support the team
  • Bilingual (French and English)
