We are looking to hire a competent, dedicated, creative and hard-working entry level fixture assembler/machinist who will enjoy working for a growing company that is currently in a high-growth phase.

Our company, HJ Machine & Pattern (HJM), is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing company based in Waterloo, ON. HJM is known for robotic, automated inspection, assembly and welding stations, gauges & fixtures.

The company provides CAD/CAM, CNC and CMM services to automotive, defence, oil & gas, mining, machine manufacturing, foundries, agriculture, and other industries.

It has design/manufacturing, machining, and after-market service capabilities.

Ability to understand blueprint drawings and GD&T.
Willingness and ability to learn to work with metal and polyurethane quickly.
Ability to do woodworking efficiently and cost-effectively to produce high-quality products with tight tolerances.
Ability to manufacture checking fixtures and work with automated machines.
Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Other desirable skills and attributes are as follows:

Experience with electrical wiring for electrical panels.
Familiarity with ISO 9001.
Willingness to help with general cleaning, lifting weights and other misc shop-floor activities.
Experience with HAAS 3 and 5 Axis milling CNC (VF5, VF4, Mini-mill) and machining processes.
Ability to efficiently setup and run CNC machines to produce machine components in tight tolerances.
