WCL is hiring heavy equipment operators for the 2021 construction season.

This seasonal position requires someone with a personal commitment to working safely and adhering to the company's health and safety policies and procedures.

The applicant must be capable to work a schedule of 12 consecutive days on and 2 days off, approximately 60 hours per week.

WCL is currently looking to fill the following positions:

Excavator

Cut to finish grade
Load various types of trucks

Dozer

Cut to finish grade
GPS experience an asset

Grader

Cut to finish grade
GPS experience an asset

Responsibilities:

Clean, lubricate and perform other minor maintenance work
Complete daily equipment pretrips and logs required for safety and service schedules
Complete all necessary daily paperwork. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, deliver receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.

Requirements:

Class 5 driver's license
3 years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance
Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities
Strong work ethic
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Must be able to work with little supervision; must be selfdirected
