Responsibilities and Duties

  • Help ensure the crop is healthy and growing optimally
  • Works directly under the guidance of Head Grower
  • Pepper & Cucumber fruit counts
  • Production forecasting
  • Assist the grower in ensuring that climate is optimal for growing conditions
  • Monitoring and scouting of pests and diseases
  • Coordinating with management on all biological programs and implementation
  • Supervision of IPM protocols to pest and disease management as well as compiling IPM and conventional reports for management review and action planning
  • Maintaining up to date records and reports
  • Assist in planning, organizing, training, and assigning scout duties
  • Assist the grower in implementation of our Food & Health Safety programs / policies/ processes
  • Operate scissor lifts, EC meter, PH meter and other equipment
  • Collect water samples
  • Mixing fertilizers
  • Share "oncall" alarm duties with Grower
  • Available to work a flexible work schedule
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Qualifications and Skills:


  • 1+ years management/leadership experience
  • Bachelors in horticulture required
  • Analytical Thinker
  • Leadership Skills
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Planning and Organizing
  • Attention to Detail
