Position Summary

Thales is looking for a
Professional Services Engagement Specialist who manages professional services opportunities and customer engagements requests in the Americas region:

In this position, you will partner with sales, pre-sales, product management, engineering, training and business development teams to accurately gather customers technical and business requirements and determining and positioning the most appropriate services offering.

This is a sales overlay function that is responsible for scoping and pricing Professional Services consulting offerings and in some cases, upsell solutions to the customer.

This is a technical role with internal stakeholder and external customer facing responsibilities.

The individual will work with cross functional teams to scope services for Thales Data Production and Identity and Access Management products.


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Support Sales to accurately gather customers technical and business requirements and determine the most appropriate services offerings. Create complex SOWs and efforts estimation with input from delivery team.
  • Identify and validate the need to create new prepackaged services, recommend required updates based on new product features, roadmap, and identified dependencies. Suggest and support the retirement of prepackaged services.
  • Collaborate with sales team during opportunity assessment and proposal phases of the service delivery process, particularly as it relates to scope, deployment approach, timeline and deliverables.
  • Provide support in answering technical aspects of customers RFP, related to Professional Services.
  • Lead technical solution design for new PS offers and customers' use cases which translate customer requirements into delivery engagements.
  • Negotiate the terms and conditions of the service engagements with Sales and Customers; and followup with delivery consultant to upsell services to customer.
  • Implement strong program management practices (change requests, issue management, risk management and decision tracking), client implementation methodologies and management best practices.
  • Use SFDC for opportunity management and reporting to ensure opportunity SLAs are met, POs are processed, resources are assigned, and customer start dates are agreed on.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Math, Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or other related specialized technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience with information security technology and processes, specifically cryptography in professional services, presales or customer support operations, in large enterprises.
  • Proven ability to understand the business requirements and convert them into solution designs.
  • Significant practical experience in managing technical solutions and services engagements.
  • Solid background in cryptography and experience in networking and network security protocols.
  • Solid background in Identity and Access Management; with demonstrated knowledge of information security principles and practices.
  • Strong ability to document requirements and to scope work with experience in technical contracts and services agreements definition.

Schedule:
Normal Business Hours. Ability to work under stress and managing tight deadlines, changing work environment.

Travel:
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
