The Early Childhood Educator Registry is the legislated authority responsible for the certification of Early Childhood Educators (ECE) and ECE Assistants, the recommended approval of post-secondary educational institutions offering early childhood education programs, and the investigation of complaints and practice concerns regarding ECEs, ECE Assistants and educational institutions.


The role of the Operations Supervisor is to provide leadership and guidance to Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Registry staff responsible for Certification of ECE's and ECE Assistants by ensuring operational resources and service standards are managed to deliver service excellence based on the principles of administrative law and natural justice, and consistent, independent decision making.


Job Requirements:


  • Diploma in social services, law, public, business administration or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience supervising and leading staff.
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing information to prepare data driven reports.
  • Experience providing recommendations to senior leadership.

Preference may be given to applicants who have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher), Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Education and hold (or are eligible to hold) British Columbia Early Childhood Educator certification.
  • Experience working in a professional regulation and/or in a regulatory role responsible for the assessment of an individual's suitability (character and skills) to work with children.
  • Supervisory experience that includes scheduling and performance management.
  • Experience supervising in a hybrid environment.
