    The Opportunity

    This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to support the Medavie house of brands. They work in close collaboration with colleagues throughout the Brand and Creative Services, Corporate Communications, Marketing and related teams to deliver integrated strategic marketing plans including recruitment campaigns and content marketing strategies that represent our brand and tell our story in engaging and innovative ways.

    Main Responsibilities-

  • Contribute to large-scale branding and marketing plans to promote value propositions as you liaise with designers and creatives while leveraging the broader Brand Marketing and Communications teams and external agency partners.
  • Work collaboratively to manage marketing and branding projects by coordinating efforts of various colleagues and business partners, including creative production and quality assurance.
  • Support recruitment marketing and branding efforts for Medavie's employer brand and student recruitment through its health care training and education college.
  • Copywriting and editing, ensuring consistency in messaging and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Support development, management and distribution of website and social media content for Medavie house of brands.
  • Lead branding efforts for Medavie customer service walk-in locations.
  • Support team approaches and management of brand events and sponsorship activations.
  • Collaborate and nurture effective working relationships with business partners from various departments and external agency contacts.
  • Qualifications-

  • University Degree, ideally in business or marketing
  • Minimum 5 years of broad-based marketing, branding or communications experience balancing solid strategic thinking and execution in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a marketing agency and/or the public sector is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrable experience in Marketing project management and execution — you know how to develop a strong marketing plan, engage others, execute and project manage, and report results.
  • Digital content and marketing acumen – you are always learning about new marketing innovations.
  • A knack for writing, copyediting and quality assurance.
  • Comfort and some experience working with social media and website management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of modern communications and marketing trends and standards.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment and collaborating with diverse professionals across Canada.
  • Ability to discern key fundamentals from complex information and develop into easy to understand and engaging content.
  • Creativity – you think differently, and you innovate. You think about "what if..." and can communicate your great ideas.
  • Collaboration – you work well with others and know how to engage colleagues to develop and execute successful marketing activities.
  • Negotiation is part of your language– whether it is negotiating timelines, projects, or vendor pricing you are comfortable having conversations with the intent of finding solutions.
