We are seeking a dynamic, committed professional to join our team:
HR Operations Administrator

100%, Regular

Union Exempt Level 7 - $51,900 to $66,941


Reporting to the HR Officer, the HR Operations Administrator will administer a broad range of tasks within the Admin and Support Staffing Division, including processing salary, benefits and leaves for an assigned employee group.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, inputting and maintaining employee and position information in the District's human resources information system (HRIS); ensuring accuracy and integrity of information; interpreting and administering collective agreements, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.


Two (2) years experience working in a human resources environment; and courses in human resources, leading to a certificate or diploma in Human Resources would be an asset.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Experience working in a unionized environment.

Knowledge of relevant collective agreements, handbooks, OCDSB policies and procedures, and applicable legislation.

Good understanding and use of HR Information Systems.

Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, as well as research and analytical skills required.


Ability to work effectively under pressure, while maintaining excellent time management, follow through and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.

Attention to detail and accuracy of work is essential.

A high degree of tact and discretion required for dealing with confidential and sensitive personal information.
