The role of this position will consist of, but not limited to the following:
- Work in collaboration with the team to produce full sets of architectural design working and construction drawings for multiple suites development.
- Prepare CAD drawings, specifications, cost estimates and listing of quantities of materials from conceptual drawings and instructions.
- Construct architectural and display models, and 3D virtual models of architectural designs.
- Assists in the preparation of contract and bidding documents.
- Analyze building codes, bylaws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and reports.
- Work alongside marketing and interior design team to create marketing ready floor plan drawings to use for marketing and advertising.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or certification as a technologist/technician
- 35 years' experience in the architectural design and/or in a construction industry
Knowledge, Skills, and abilities:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2019 or newer version and/or other architectural design software
- Knowledge and proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge and interest in multifamily residential design considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of Manitoba Building Code and municipal zoning by laws would ideal.
- Ability to develop full sets of working and construction drawings.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Exceptional attention to details, with high level of accuracy, and with strong organizational skills.
- Selfmotivated and responsible.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Valid Driver's License and vehicle required.
