CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) is seeking an IT Specialist to join our Business Intelligence team.

As a premier mental health facility in Canada, our mission includes the strategic use of data to inform decisions and enhance health outcomes.

The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in refining our data visualization practices, specializing in dashboard and report creation to support our continuous improvement efforts.

The IT Specialist will focus on developing and enhancing our reporting capabilities, primarily using Tableau and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

This role demands a deep understanding of data visualization techniques, user experience design for reports, and the ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and impactful manner.

Working alongside our IT, business, and clinical teams, this specialist will ensure our stakeholders have the insights they need.
Design and develop intuitive and impactful dashboards in Tableau, catering to a wide range of stakeholder needs.

Create, optimize, and maintain advanced reports using Microsoft SSRS, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet the analytical needs of the organization.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate these into technical specifications for dashboard and report development.

Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of dashboards and reports through effective design and testing methodologies.
Optimize data models and queries to improve dashboard and report performance.
Implement best practices in data visualization and reporting to enhance the user experience and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Conduct training sessions for end-users on navigating and interpreting dashboards and reports.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in dashboard development and reporting technologies to continually improve our BI solutions

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience in dashboard and report development, with a strong portfolio in Tableau and SSRS.

Advanced skills in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server for dashboard design, development, and deployment.
Proficient in developing and maintaining reports using Microsoft SSRS.
Solid understanding of data modeling, SQL programming, and database optimization techniques.
Excellent analytical skills with a knack for identifying key data insights and translating them into compelling visual stories.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Agile or iterative development methodologies is advantageous.
