Description

We are seeking energetic fun-loving individuals who like to work with children and enrich their summer experience, to be day camp counselors for our 2023 technology-themed summer camps.

Job term:
Full-Time from the summer (July & August) 2023

Travel Required:
Must be able to get to/from work

Role and Responsibilities

Ensure safety of children at all times and carry out safety procedures
Supervise children at all times
Greet children in the morning/Supervise children at end of day for pick up
Carry out all programming aspects, in addition to independent programming tasks
Must be able to work from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday
Ability to get to and from work.
Respect children, staff, and dresscode
Implement the daily camp program.
Assist in setting up camp activities.
Help participants achieve camp educational milestones.
Abide by all camp policies and procedures.
Create and sustain strong relationships with camp participants, counselors, community partners and guardians.
Setup camp facility, activities and oversea segments of camp programs in accordance with the guidance of the camp director.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Secondary/Postsecondary student, focus computer science, math, engineering or education an asset
Must be patient, enjoy working with children and high energy
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Strong communication and facilitation skills.
CPR and first aid certified very desirable.
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
Child Abuse Registry Check.
