Ox Fleet Care is in immediate need of an experienced and skilled
PARTS MANAGER. This team leader plays a crucial role in the efficient operations, responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of parts; ensuring that customers have the necessary components to complete repairs and maintenance promptly.

Working Conditions:

- lead, manage, and held accountable for the parts department

  • Provide oversight for all ordering, receiving, and storing of incoming and outgoing parts
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to anticipate parts needs to ensure a timely turnaround.
  • Create customer estimates for internal and external customers.
  • Answer internal and external inquiries regarding new products and price discrepancies
  • Assist in the sale of parts to new and existing customers which includes regular followup
  • Work with Finance and Management to establish pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient margin while maintaining customer loyalty.
  • Manage part technicians, providing leadership, training, and guidance.
  • Ensure team maintains accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to meet demands.
  • Ensure weekly and monthly cycle counts are performed accurately and make inventory and bin adjustments as required.
  • Monitors controllable expenses for the department including but not limited to: Inventory loss/gain, parts freight, parts supplies, and warranty writeoffs etc. are maintained to established budget.
  • Handle warranty claims and returns in compliance with manufacturer policies.
  • Negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships to optimize procurement costs.
  • Assist in locating parts and other materials for a large diverse fleet of vehicles and ensure timely delivery to reduce downtime
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve parts procurement processes and costeffectiveness
  • Handle customer expectations in a professional manner, anticipating and addressing their needs.
  • Participate as a member of the management team in weekly department meetings.
  • Develop and implement short, medium, and longterm goals for the department, which will ensure that the company achieves its commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers, prospects, and vendors
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the heavyduty truck and trailer industry or similar industry preferred.
  • Parts Counter or Parts Sales experience preferred
  • Experience with the importation and exportation of parts and goods into and out of Canada is considered an asset.
  • Strong computer skills including expertise using Microsoft Office, (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint)
  • Post-Secondary Education (Diploma/Degree) in Business. Equivalencies will be considered
