What you'll do
The Maintenance Team at the Bolton Distribution Center is a fast-paced dynamic group that deals with all levels of personnel in the DC.
We are looking for an individual who can work in a fast pace environment and ensure accuracy is maintained, while being able to support the Maintenance and Operation team.
The Maintenance student wil l support the Maintenance department with key start-up initiatives in order to increase efficiency right from the starting point to full operations.
The student will support on projects including but not limited to asset tagging and the Maintenance Storeroom transition.- Coordinate, Retain, Support and investigate all maintenancerelated documentation for all building and MHE systems.
- Update Drawings, Safe and Standard Operating Procedures, Reliable Methods and other pertinent information for the department.
- Assist the Inventory Controller on parts inventory management improvements and be able to assist with cycle counting
- Work closely with Trades and Planners for COE initiatives
- Work on building system improvements such as updating electrical drawings, fire system and electrical schematics
What you bring
- Working towards a postsecondary degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering (or a relevant discipline)
- Full understanding of all relevant safety and compliance regulations, policies and generally accepted work practices relating to Maintenance department
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (Maximo experience a strong asset)
- Ability to work on various shifts and demonstrate flexibility with hours at the Bolton Distribution Centre
