Job Description:


Reporting to the District Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for greeting and serving customers in a personalized way based on the expected customer experience of the store as well as acting as a trainer and resource person for the store.


In-Store Stylist:

  • Perform opening and closing of the boutique according to established procedure;
  • Greet customers and serve them in a personalized manner according to the customer experience expected at Boutique 1861 and the type of clientele;
  • Giving advice and suggestions to customers;
  • Perform various transactions at the cash register;

Operational assistance in the store:

  • Be the resource person on the floor;
  • Organize the zoning and break schedule;
  • Supervise the accomplishment of daily, weekly and monthly tasks for the store;
  • Train new employees and conduct ongoing instore training;
  • Supervise and evaluate employee performance and provide effective and timely solutions to specific problems;
  • Supervise the overall customer experience in the store and provide guidance when necessary;
  • Work closely with employees and managers to ensure open communication and a consistent workflow within the store;
  • Any other related duties.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of a secondary school diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience;
  • Experience in team management;
  • Basic computer skills;
  • Advanced knowledge of French and English (written and spoken);
  • Communication skills;
  • Engaging and transformational leadership;
  • Team spirit;
  • Sense of priorities and organization;
  • Autonomy.
