Financial Controller (Remote, Canada EST):

As the Financial Controller, you will be the main point of contact in the company for all financial, accounting, and compliance matters.

We are looking for someone who will take responsibility for the whole accounting process from start to finish.

Someone who is equally comfortable with dealing with recurring monthly journal entries as they are with providing management and external parties with high level analysis of the company's financial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Fully own Crowdlinker's accounting process including but not limited to, invoicing, A/P, A/R, yearend taxes, payroll management and, bookkeeping
• Fully own Crowdlinker's operational finance including but not limited to, cashflow management, FP&A, budgeting, monthly reporting, and, managing OKRs and KPIs
• Continue to develop Crowdlinker's data and analytics processes and collaborate with department owners to foster strategy
• Work closely with the leadership team to provide quantitative analysis for decision making
• Make recommendations for improving policies and systems in place
• Develop models and projections to estimate what finances will look like over the course of a year
• Collaborate with all all departments on various ad hoc requests
• Spearhead financial strategies to protect the company's cash position
• Light legal work

What you Bring:


Experience:

• 3+ years of experience
• Financerelated undergrad or higher education
• Strong experience with budgets, forecasting and strategic planning
• Experience startuplike environment and/or technology space

Must haves:

• Excellent knowledge of accounting/finance processes including monthend close, bank reconciliations, payroll processing
• Excellent working knowledge of Quickbooks Online (QBO)
• Experience with managing online banking accounts
• Expert in GSuite and Microsoft Office
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel and data analysis
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills ability and comfort with speaking and working with core management team
• Confident and comfortable communicating with clients or vendors regarding invoices, payments, and negotiating contract terms
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises
• Working knowledge of income tax, SR&ED, and HST

Nice to Haves:

• Fully designated CPA
• Have worked in a SCRUM environment
• Experience working in a professional services environment
