  • Evaluate customer needs, promote and sell products and services to meet those needs and provide quality solutions to address customers' needs.
  • Develop and maintain client information and data utilizing Finning (Canada)'s CRM software and Product Improvement Program to enable accurate market intelligence, pricing, estimates, and customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve targets for revenue growth and profitability.
  • Maintain sound long-term relationships with customers, Caterpillar, internal departments and staff.
  • Prepare accurate and timely forecasts, pricing, estimates and market intelligence of parts and service revenue targets for assigned customer base to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Establish appropriate targets, goals and objectives that are aligned with corporate strategy.
  • To achieve profitable parts and service revenue based on corporate and territory targets.
  • Ensure all sales documents and customer agreements are completed in a consistent, accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure proper territory coverage, account planning strategies and strong time management skills.
  • Develop and grow long-term strategic relationships with major accounts.
  • Understand the competitor activity and utilize lost sales reporting.
  • Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of sales experience in understanding and applying the basic selling principles; such as, prospecting, introducing benefits, call planning, qualifying, handling objections, follow-ups and closing the sale.
  • Proven sound mechanical knowledge of the construction industry (Compact Construction Equipment and Building Construction Products) is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven customer-centricity and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with CRM platforms.
  • Understands and adheres to safety procedures and protocols.
  • Proficient in MS Office package.
