Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Internist to join our medical team in Sunup Medical Center. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to adult patients, including the diagnosis and management of complex and chronic medical conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive internal medicine consultations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic adult medical conditions
- Provide inpatient hospital care (if applicable)
- Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists
- Interpret diagnostic tests and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Participate in on-call coverage as required
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD or equivalent)
- Certification in Internal Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Eligible for independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
