    Role Summary


    The Jr. Workday Project Manager will be primarily responsible for managing and supporting Workday implementation and enhancement projects. Implemented Workday functionality includes Core HCM, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management and Benefits (for Canada & USA). Additional SKUs to be implemented are Recruiting and Learning.

    Key Responsibilities



    • Manages the bi-annual releases, including analysis of impacts of new functionality, overseeing functional and integrations testing for any cross functional up and downstream impacts.

    • Plans and coordinates Workday implementation and enhancement projects through all life cycles stages, and executes the tasks as defined in the project plan to achieve the project goals.

    • Oversees the configuration, customization, and integration of Workday, ensuring accurate data capture and alignment with HR processes and policies.

    • Maintains standard project management documentation and metrics and works directly with internal and external customers, other project leads, and ongoing operations to deliver successful implementation.

    • Manages stakeholder expectations and regularly communicates project updates to leadership, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders.

    • Fosters strong working relationships and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Monitors the progress of the project and manages changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate techniques to keep the project plan accurate and updated.

    • Manages risks and mitigation plans, and tracks actions, issues, and decisions through to completion to minimize the impact on the project.

    • Contributes to knowledge management capital through activities such as sharing documented lessons learned, documented deliverables, and facilitation of Workday Workshops.

    • Identify areas for process improvement within the HR function and leverage HR systems to automate and streamline processes.

    Key Qualifications/Requirements



    • 1-3 year's Workday functional experience

    • Completion of College Certificate or University Degree

    • Previous experience in managing Workday projects in a global organization

    • Proficiency with MS Project, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to adapt to frequent change.

    • Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization - both internal and external

    • Excellent collaborator with strong interpersonal skills to support team building

    • Awareness of cultural diversity and can embrace and capitalize those differences; applies knowledge in decision-making process.

    • Strong analytical mind; demonstrated critical thinking with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

    • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information

    • Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management

    • Working knowledge of the Workday implementation methodology

    • Ability to work across multiple time zones, as required by the global nature of this role
