A 70-year-old, rapidly expanding aerospace assembly & component manufacturer, is currently seeking experienced
Quality Inspector / Technician to join our team in our Mississauga, Ontario facility.

We are seeking individuals who are dedicated and committed to making Tube Fab Ltd.

an industry leader, ensuring the processes are in compliance with AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 Standards and work instructions & procedures.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Chemical background with hands on, mechanical inspection experience, is an asset.
  • Perform assigned routine tests on purchased materials, goods in process, or finished goods where results are compared with established quality standards and specifications. Reports results to management.
  • Perform chemical analysis on production solutions as required.
  • Inspect for visual, cosmetic, dimensional, and fit & function compliance.
  • Inspect & document manufacturing issues, NCRs/CAR's.
  • Audit inprocess production; by confirming specifications\work instructions, performing visual & dimensional tests; communicating required adjustments to production staff.
  • Provide assistance to operators on inspection of product & compliant parts, submit training records
  • Perform and document calibrations of gauges and measurement equipment.
  • Able to effectively use measuring tools (e

g:
micrometer, caliper, tape measure, optical comparator) to inspect parts

  • Ensure that nonconforming, rework, repaired product is segregated from production
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance to QMS.
  • Perform Final Inspection and produce compliance documentation and inspection reports on finished product including C of C's.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports such FAI, APQP, PPAP, DVI & logs; summarizing rework & waste; inputting data into quality database
  • Perform and generate reports from investigational experiments involving new product design, revised products, and quality investigations with accompanying data analysis. Able to publish reports with detailed rationale.
  • Create Quality Alerts and prepare Quality Assurance analysis and documentation.
  • Perform clerical duties as required in the Quality Assurance Department, maintaining records as required.
  • Perform Materials; Fittings; Hardware and Supplies
  • INCOMING Inspection
  • Authorization and Release of approved materials and components to the various production facilities and cells.
  • Be a member of Continuous Improvement teams when appropriate. Proactively Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in Internal and External 3rd party Audits.
  • Follow company safety requirements
  • Perform other duties as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Commercial certificate course in Quality Management education, with good writing and math skills required
  • Aerospace Inspection Experience is preferred
  • Ability to read drawings\blueprints
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to operate gauges and testing equipment, including CMM and Optical Comparator.
  • Decision making skills required
  • Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Good communication skills written, verbal
  • Working knowledge of FAI and Calibration reports
  • Using a CMM, VMM, or Faro Arm is a benefit
  • Previous weld inspector experience is an asset
  • Previous tube bend inspection experience is an asset

Educational and or credential requirements:


  • Training will be provided, however some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training is an asset
  • Experience in an ISO approved environment is an asset

Must Be:


  • Able to work overtime upon request
  • Must be confident in using tools and inspection equipment.
  • Must have a good 'house keeping' sense and be able to organize work area and keep it clean.
  • Must have good dexterity and good awareness when handling parts and equipment.
  • Must be familiar with metal properties, production standards and methods.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are an asset
  • Working in a quick turn around production environment
  • Experience working in the aerospace industry would be asset

$22.00-$24.50 per hour
