    PRIMARY ROLE:

    Joining the consulting team, the Control Room Consultant will collaborate with Evans' clients and internal partners to grasp the operational needs of control room(s) and transform them into practical conceptual designs. Serving as a control rooms expert, the consultant will act as a reliable advisor to the clients, offering guidance throughout the consulting journey. This position involves continuous learning and expertise development in areas such as ergonomics, design, control room technology, AV technology, and more.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Comprehend the current control room operational model and infrastructure.
    • Lead specific consulting projects from start to finish.
    • Conduct on-site workshops with clients and key stakeholders.
    • Apply various technologies relevant to control rooms.
    • Formulate conceptual operational strategies.
    • Prepare consulting reports adhering to control room design standards.
    • Create specifications for clients covering consoles, acoustics, lighting, IT, Video Management, AV Systems, etc.
    • Define operational inputs and outputs related to AV & technology requirements.
    • Collaborate with the Construction Services team on joint projects and promote other Evans services.
    • Perform other assigned duties.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ATTRIBUTES:

    • Minimum of a 2-year diploma in a technical field (Architectural, IT, Audio Visual, etc.). 3-5 years' relevant job experience is essential.
    • Experience in engaging with clients across different organizational levels.
    • Proficiency in control room design.
    • Project management skills.
    • Understanding of IT or AV systems in critical environments.
    • Proficiency in 2D or 3D modeling.
    • Ability to work flexible hours beyond the standard workweek.
    • Willingness to travel as needed; around 20-30%.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities (both written and verbal).
    • Confidence in approach.
    • Quick in building relationships at different levels and establishing credibility.
    • Self-driven and motivated.
    • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
    • Effective organizational and multitasking capabilities.
    • Fast and efficient learner.
