To drive continued success in this exciting clinical research field, we are seeking committed, skilled, and customer-focused individuals to join our winning team as a
Human Resources Generalist for our Toronto/Markham, Ontario, Canada on-site location with opportunitiy to work remotely in accordance with our Work from Home policy.


Position Summary:


The HR Generalist completes and facilitates the daily functions of human resources including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, performance management, policy development, benefits, while maintaining employee data and employee files.


Responsibilities & Job Requirements:


  • Performs the full recruitment cycle including review of job descriptions, creating and posting jobs, screening resumes, completing phone and in person interviews, regularly communicating with hiring managers and search providers regarding the status of positions, etc.
  • Implements recruiting strategies and techniques to source top talent
  • Prepares documentation and performs activities related to employee onboarding, promotions, salary increases, internal transfers and other employee changes
  • Leads new hire orientation training modules and facilitates other training as necessary
  • Supports HR and other department leaders with projects and assignments as required
  • Monitors changes in the regulatory environment and recommend revisions to ensure policies and programs meet changing requirements
  • Conducts research and analysis and provides recommendations to support program and policy design or enhancements
  • Documents and improves new and existing SOPs, HR procedures, task instructions, etc.
  • Provides guidance, support and recommendations to employees and leaders
  • Executes or leads strategies and programs to improve overall engagement
  • Inputs and maintains data in UKG HRIS system and other tracking systems
  • Performs other duties and completes additional projects as assigned, commensurate with job knowledge and experience

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary degree in a Human Resources related field or related experience
  • 25 years working experience in Human Resources within a similar role
  • Experience recruiting in a similar technical, scientific or pharmaceutical environment is an asset
  • CHRP, CHRL or other related HR designations are an asset
  • Indepth knowledge of ESA and other legislative requirements
  • Experience working within a small department at a midsize company or at a private company is an asset
