Truck and Trailer Mechanic/ Apprentice (2-4 level apprentice)

National Tank Services (a division of Trimac Transportation) is looking for a Red Seal Journeyman Mechanic or 2-4 level apprentice for our team out of Trail, BC.

Pay:
$42.51 per hour journeyperson rate
$2.00 weekend premium
$2.00 afternoon premium
$0.50 CVIP premium


Hours/Shift:
Facility is open 7 days a week: Flexible shift available.
Training schedule M-F mornings

About the Position:
Trailer repair- PM's, electrical work, brakes, suspension & product pump rebuild.
Tractor repair- PM's electrical work, brakes, suspension, engine diagnostics, general running repairs & PTO.
Basic tools required for the position.
Red Seal an asset.


Responsibilities:
Maintain equipment in a professional manner.
Follow policies & procedures.
Work safely, using directed PPE.
Complete tasks in a timely fashion as to the Standard Repair Time Guidelines.
Maintain fleet equipment.
Drive and Shunt equipment.


Skills:
Operation of hand tools.
Operation of air tools.
Strong and reliable work ethic.
Positive attitude and job performance.


Educational Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Red Seal.
